PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

FARWELL MESSAGE 2002

A THANK YOU, TO SANTA CLARA COUNTY CLUB NO. 21 AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTY CLUB NO. 24 FOR HOSTING OUR OCTOBER STATE BOARD MEETING. THE SUCCESS OF THIS MEETING SHOWS WHAT TWO SMALL CLUBS CAN DO WORKING TOGETHER. THANK ALSO FOR YOUR WARM HOSPITALITY SHOWN TO MARY AND I.

This year has been an exciting one for me. The visits to the subordinate clubs, all the new friendships made and the old ones renewed will long be remembered. Your kindness and hospitality will be cherished in my memories. Thank you, to all State Officers, District Governors, State Directors and Committee Chairs for your support and making my job easy. I can't single out any one committee because all the committees have performed in such an outstanding manner. You have set a fine example for those who follow. I have been able to watch the Convention Committee working first hand and I can assure you that this is going to be a great Convention the Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California is holding in January. There have been many positive things happen this year. Among those changes are new faces stepping up to the plate to carry on the benevolent objectives set forth by our founding members and I for one, am sure that we'll be proud of their achievements as they take over the reins and lead us in the coming years.

To all subordinate club members, keep up your hard work for the good of all the charities that the Cabrillo Clubs sponsor. Your committment to the scholarship program is without parallel from any organization and may the devolopment of membership always be foremost in your minds.

As we enter this century we're making the internet work for us, which will help our Americanization Program, Youth Program, Membership program and Scholarship Program. Each week we're finding news things being added to the pages of our website.

I Thank you again on behalf of Mary and I for this most wonderful year.

We hope to see all of you at the state convention in January and we wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season.
