The function was in downtown Tulare at Nielsen’s Restaurant , located at 137 South “M” Street. Following dinner, the installtion of the new officers and Directors was conducted by the Cabrillo Civic Clubs State President and State First lady. Tulare County’s very own, Richard Borges and his first Lady Mary. New officers Installed New Directors: President: Ron Clark Rick and Susie Borges 1st Vice President: Jimmy Luis Manuel and Alda Lawrence 2nd Vice President: Irene Santos Mike and Roseane O’Neil Secretary: Evelyn Pryor Tony and Joyce Pires Treasurer : John Tamariz Chris Mendonca Marshal : Anthony Rocha Other returning Directors The out going Officers, Thanked the members present for all their support and wished the incoming officer well and pledged their support to the incoming officers. These new officers and directors will lead the largest Cabrillo Civic Club in California in full filling the principals set forth by the founding members of this great family organization established in 1934. The Tulare County club has a long history of being one of the state all round clubs. The new officers will announce the names of their standing committee chairmen and goals at a up coming meeting and the calender dates of next years events. Leading community leader and farmer, Richard Borges, is serving as the 68th president of this state wide organization. He has been very busy performing his duties through out the state this year. Mr. Borges has the honor of being the 5th member from the Tulare County Cabrillo Club # 12 to serve as state president. The Tulare County Cabrillo Civc Club #12 was chartered in 1946 and some charter members are still active.
